Um dos hits para este inverno é a saia midi, aquela de comprimento um pouco abaixo do joelho. É uma peça bem charmosa e acho que tráz uma sensualidade não óbvia, substituindo os curtérrimos que reinaram nos últimos verão e inverno. A stylist, Jussara Romão (ela também foi editora da Elle Brasil por 11 anos) dá algumas dicas para quem quer apostar na peça!
One of the key items for this winter is the midi skirt. That one below the knee but above the ankle. I think it´s really charming and even sensual (in a not obvious way). It came to replace the super short skirts from last summer and winter. The stylist Jussara Romão (she was also editor in chief of Elle Brasil magazine for 11 years) helps us how to wear it!

B.C - A saia midi é uma peça fácil de usar? / Is the midi skirt an easy item to wear?
J.R - Usar a saia midi só é dificil se você não entender a sua estrutura de corpo. É uma questão de se conhecer, é o óbvio, todo mundo fala isso, mas os profissionais não se repetem porque não têm o que dizer, eles se repetem porque é assim que funciona.
J.R - The midi skirt is not hard to wear, as long as you know your body structure. That seems pretty obvious. It´s what everyone sais, but fashion professionals don´t say the same thing over and over beacause they don´t have anything better to say. They say it because it´s just the way it is, that´s how it works.

J.R - Por exemplo, as mais baixinhas podem optar por usar a midi com meias da mesma cor que a saia. O tom monocromático vai causar a impressão de alongar as pernas.
J.R - For exemple, short girls can wear it with a pantyhose the same color as the skirt. It will make her legs look longer.
B.C - Qual o tipo de sapato ideal para combinar com a midi? / What kind of shoes must combine with the midi skirt?
J.R - Depende, se a saia for reta, pede um salto alto, principalmente se a mulher não for alta. Pode ser uma anabela abotinada, ankle boot... A sapatilha também é uma boa opção, mas é mais adequada para as mulheres altas.
J.R - It depends, a straight midi skirt should be worn with high heels (wedge boots, ankle boots...), specially if you´re not tall. If you are tall, ballet flats are a nice option.
B.C - A saia midi deve marcar a cintura ou pode ser usada com tops mais soltos? / The midi skirt should be high waisted or can you paire it with loose tops?
J.R - As mulheres que têm o quadril estreito podem marcar a cintura sem medo. Já para aquelas que possuem o quadril largo, sugiro usar uma saia que seja mais fluida, com movimento, sem grudar muito no corpo. Outra opção é usar com um casaco por cima, o que também ajuda a disfarçar as medidas.
J.R - Girls that has narrow hips can wear all kinds of high waisted midi skirts. The ones that has wider hips can choose fluid materials or wear a jacket that helps to cover overweight.
